Our History

Logista’s origins go back to Tabacalera’s distribution division, from which it spun off in 1999.

Since then, Logista has kept a strong and steady growth to become a leading distributor of products and services to proximity retailers in Southern Europe.
 
Logista combines organic growth with ongoing expansion of its service portfolio and profitable diversification toward new specialised sectors, together with profitable acquisitions in line with the company’s strategy.
 

2017

  • Increase of the company's free-float to 40%, after 10% placement by its main shareholders
  • Logista is the first Spanish listed company co-auditing its financial statements reinforcing the financial information transparency, as well as the independence in relation to the audit firms
  • CDP includes Logista in its “A List” for second consecutive year.  Only 40% of the companies recognized last year have been recognized again this year​


2016

  • ​Logista formulates its Policy on Corporate Social Responsibility
  • CDP recognizes Logista as one of the worldwide leaders in the fight against the climate change and includes it in its "A-list" among 193 companies in the world 
  • Logista sells its stake in ITB Bank for electronic transactional services to tobacconists in Italy


2015

  • Reinforcement of the Group's omnichannel strategy, through different projects, such as the modernization of cash&carries in Spain and Italy, the new Strator PoS Terminal launch in Spain, etc
  • For the third consecutive year, Logista is recognized as the best company to work within its sector in Spain
  • Logista is added to the IBEX Medium Cap index, which includes the largest companies by market capitalization adjusted by free float after those included in the IBEX 

2014

  • Creation of Compañía de Distribución Integral Logista Holdings, S.A.U (Grupo Logista), parent company of the Compañía de Distribución Integral Logista  S.A.U Operating Company (former Group’s parent company)
  • Begins trading on Spanish stock exchanges since July 14th at a price of €13 per share

 

  • At the beginning of the fiscal year, the Logista Group acquired the 100% of the shares of Logista France (former ADF Group), whose management already been developed during the last years
  • Renegotiation of the agreement with ONCE: Logista is in charge of the logistics tasks and administrative management of the points of sale and GTECH provides technical support and development of software

 

  • Logista acquires the remaining 49% of Logesta, the Group´s company specialized in long distance and full truck load transport management services
  • Logista and GTECH create a joint venture to complement the distribution and sale of lottery draws tickets and scratch cards (instant lotteries) for the Organización Nacional de Ciegos (ONCE)​
  • Imperial Tobacco Group acquires Logista, maintaining independent management of the company
  • Logista begins managing Imperial Tobacco Group’s logistics operations in France, and becomes one of the leading logistics groups in Europe
  • The Group makes yet another international boost, with Logista Pharma starting up activities in Portugal​
  • Logista Polska: Logista continues its international expansion by expanding operations into Poland​
  • The Group completes reorganisation of the editorial distribution business with a strategic re-launch of operations, leading the creation of the top publication distributors in Madrid, Aragón and Catalonia​
  • Logista Publicaciones and Logista Libros: The Group spins off the editorial distribution business, making it more streamlined, flexible and adapted to the sector’s needs​
  • Logista Italia: Logista expands internationally to Italy
  • Logista becomes the leading tobacco distributor in Southern Europe​
  • Consolidation of the new businesses
  • Logista Pharma: Creation of a specialised subsidiary for the pharmaceutical sector offering complete temperature and product status control as well as full traceability​

 

  • Strong push to business diversification
  • Incorporation of Transport services:
    • Nacex: Parcel and express courier service
    • Integra2: Ambient and controlled industrial parcel transport
    • Logesta: long distance and full truck load transportation management services
  • Extension of editorial services to small and medium-sized publishers

  • Creation of Logistadis, its convenience products wholesale subsidiary
